Our mulch products are all made up of plant material , which will break down and feed the soil, while retaining moisture and smothering weed seeds.
Landscapes and flower beds will amaze you as you feed the soil with organic material.
Tired of composting? Compost bins a pain, unsightly, always unfinished? Sometimes not even spread on landscape when it is finished? Who has time!!
Spread your organic material directly on the landscape and gardens. Grass clippings between rows are wonderful to keep weeds down, preventing Rain splashing which puts grainy soil and Soil born diseases on the vegetable produce, and flowers. Soil stays cool and moist when protected from the hot sun. Moisture is retained and weeds seeds cannot germinate.

Spruce Up  Nursery  carries Cotton-burr compost from Back To Nature

and Cocoa shells mulch by Blommer

Improve Your soil, retain moisture, Soften hard clay soil, and repel deer and rabbits, while filling the air in your yard with the fragrance of cocoa.

Kitchen scraps? Find a place under shrubs to spread the scraps. Leave a small space around each plant stem. Avoid meat or dairy products in the landscape as they attract all kinds of critters. Cover with a light layer of attractive bark or Cocoa shells mulch.
These natural products will not harm the environment. No chemical residue.

Caution: Slugs and snails love to hide in cool damp places (under mulch). Use Sluggo or diatomaceous earth, (de). No need to find the critters, just sprinkle on the ground where you see telltale feeding holes in leaves. Snails and slugs come out to feed at night and during overcast, damp days.
But they don't like Cocoa Mulch, the bean shells are sharp to their soft bodies.
